It is not heavy at all but sturdy for now. It looks like a normal bed, nothing special but does its job. The fabric of the bed head is a little glittering which I do not like so much.

Vacuum the headboard regularly with an upholstery attachment. Blot spills with a clean, dry cloth, don't rub. For marks, use a mild dish soap and water solution and test on a hidden spot first. Keep out of direct sun to prevent fading over time.

For everyday upkeep, a quick pass with your vacuum's fabric attachment keeps dust from settling in. For spills and spots, mix a little dish soap into warm water and gently blot the area with a soft microfiber cloth, no scrubbing needed.

The slats are spaced 2.5 inches apart, close enough to properly support foam and hybrid mattresses and well within what most mattress warranties require.
