Aura Grey Linen Lift-Up Storage Bed

Love the bed, tough to build solo but worth it. Storage is great

Upon delivery, noted there were some parts of the frame sticking out from the box, but didn’t think it warranted refusing the shipment because without opening the box, I couldn’t tell if the piece sticking out was damaged. Once opened, there were actually 3 pieces of the parts used to brace the bed that were bent at the end. I needed help from a strong man to bend the pieces back to original placement so they could be mounted to the bed. One of them was still wonky and the screw wouldn’t go in, but that is for the brace near headboard on bottom, I think to brace the two sides so hopefully it won’t be an issue.

Assembly was rated 3/4 on instructions for difficulty. I’d say it’s a 4 difficulty, only because some of the drawings either don’t match the pieces exactly, or the piece is shown not as you’d be looking at it, but what it would look like if you turned it or actually put the pieces together. I get it’s probably hard to draw images everyone understands, so my advice would just be to really take your time, follow instructions best you can and be prepared to remove if need be if you make a mistake. Mounting the hydraulic lever is probably most confusing, followed by the last step of placing the pieces you did in early steps on top of the base. This is because of how many holes there are looking top down, and you can’t tell which ones need to line up (trial and error and you won’t figure it out until you try to put the bed down). For parts, all were there except was missing 6 washers. Not end of the world, but was glad it wasn’t missing the bigger parts like the bolts/screws. Will mention this is the second bed I’ve put together with this lift mechanism, and it still took me and friend about 5 hours. It says 2 hours but plan for more unless this is something you do on the regular.

Once assembled the bed worked to lift up and down. The fabric (grey) was close enough to colour on website, so ultimately happy with the bed for the price. Waiting for mattress delivery so at this point can’t tell if any issues post-putting it together/once mattress is laid on top, but for taking a chance on ordering a bed online, first impression is I’m happy with it. Only reason didn’t rate higher was damaged parts, which is not fault of store…tends to happen with transport/delivery of items this size. Luckily was still able to assemble bed, and it looks great.
