The Numa has a squared headboard with a clean inset border and bouclé upholstery in Cream Marshmallow. The entire mattress platform lifts to reveal up to 11 inches of storage underneath. The slat system holds up to 550 lbs (Queen) or 600 lbs (King), and no box spring is needed.

Slats: Solid poplar wood. Platform-style construction; no box spring required

Vacuum the headboard regularly with an upholstery attachment to keep the bouclé texture fresh. Blot spills with a clean, dry cloth, don't rub, which can mat the weave. For marks, use a mild dish soap and water solution and test on a hidden spot first. Keep out of direct sun to prevent fading over time.

For everyday upkeep, a quick pass with your vacuum's fabric attachment keeps dust from settling in. For spills and spots, mix a little dish soap into warm water and gently blot the area with a soft microfiber cloth, no scrubbing needed.

We recommend a 10-inch mattress for all of our lift-up storage beds. It's the most compatible thickness for the frame and keeps the lift mechanism working smoothly. If your mattress is thicker than 10 inches, feel free to contact us to confirm compatibility.

The slats are spaced 2.5 inches apart, close enough to properly support foam and hybrid mattresses and well within what most mattress warranties require.
