The Lunel has a rounded headboard in a bouclé style that is fully upholstered, no headboard gap in between. The lift-up base opens to 8 inches of storage underneath, enough for extra bedding and seasonal items. Two bouclé finishes: Cream and Toffee. No box spring needed.

Headboard: Fully upholstered and padded

Slats: Solid poplar wood. Platform-style construction; no box spring required

Vacuum weekly with a brush attachment to keep the bouclé loops lifted. Bouclé attracts lint and pet hair, a fabric shaver or sticky roller restores the texture between cleanings. For spills, blot immediately with a clean white cloth, working inward from the edges. Don't scrub, and avoid saturating the fabric. Like all upholstered furniture, prolonged direct sun exposure will gradually soften the colour. Rotate light exposure in the room where possible.

For everyday upkeep, a quick pass with your vacuum's fabric attachment keeps dust from settling in. For spills and spots, mix a little dish soap into warm water and gently blot the area with a soft microfiber cloth, no scrubbing needed.

We recommend a 10-inch mattress for all of our lift-up storage beds. It's the most compatible thickness for the frame and keeps the lift mechanism working smoothly. If your mattress is thicker than 10 inches, feel free to contact us to confirm compatibility.

The slats are spaced 2.5 inches apart, close enough to properly support foam and hybrid mattresses and well within what most mattress warranties require.
