Retreat borrows from the sofa: the base is wrapped in a rounded, upholstered border, much like a seat cushion. It gives a main bedroom a relaxed, lived-in look, and fits just as well in the guest room. Choose Cream Puff for a light, airy room, or Toasted Cinnamon for something warmer.

Vacuum the upholstery regularly with a brush attachment, getting into the seams where dust collects. Blot spills right away with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing, which marks the weave. For a deeper clean, use a mild upholstery-safe cleaner and test it on a hidden spot first. Keep it out of prolonged direct sun.

For everyday upkeep, a quick pass with your vacuum's fabric attachment keeps dust from settling in. For spills and spots, mix a little dish soap into warm water and gently blot the area with a soft microfiber cloth, no scrubbing needed.

We recommend a 10-inch mattress for all of our lift-up storage beds. It's the most compatible thickness for the frame and keeps the lift mechanism working smoothly. If your mattress is thicker than 10 inches, feel free to contact us to confirm compatibility.

The slats are spaced 1.5 inches apart, close enough to support foam and hybrid mattresses.
